well, i suppose i should admit that the tablecloth is vinyl (martha stewart for kmart) and is my solution for protecting the table that is there until jack finishes building our new one (which will be more kid-proof).

The shoes! The frech-press! The chair! I'm experiencing a little system overload.

OK, Stephanie, you just made me crack up laughing!!! I was just marveling at how you could possibly keep this one so clean w. 2 kids around...I have a 5-yo and a 11-mo old, and I just recently decided to bring out and use my vintage table linens anyhow, even if they get a little wrecked in the process :-)

Pie for Breakfast! A classic New England tradition. My friend also wrote a song about it--video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPV-NtFw5BM

Maria you should be a pie blog contributor!

So funny about the tablecloth, because I, too, was thinking how pretty it is...and thinking how it would be white for about 10 seconds in my house with a 2year old son and a 3year old son! Thanks for the little confessional! (Made my day.)

I adore this set! And the demure little toes pointed together in the corner--perfect composition! And the blue, brown & white--so fresh and lovely. This project was really a brilliant idea. I'm thinking about doing something like it on my own, just as a record of daily life. The amazing photography is what makes it exquisite, though ;-)

awesome tablecloth - so absolutely civilized! your photos are so filled with light and color, that the rest of us seem to be living in black & white.... or is that only our perceptions?...
